Grow Our Faith Inc was founded as a non-profit charity in September, 2019 by Don and Debbie Oxford with a goal of improving the lives of vulnerable children in Kenya, Uganda and throughout Africa.
Debbie made her first visit to Kenya in November 2019 and her second in November 2020. Together, Don and Debbie were able to visit Kenya in May 2021 for their 40th wedding anniversary. Although Don was very ill, he enjoyed spending time with their Kenyan friends. He had a heart for teaching and as an inventor, he had
numerous mechanical and electrical skills. They renewed their wedding vows in a beautiful African ceremony in Bungoma, Kenya on 23 May, 2021. Don and Debbie knew he was terminally ill for 10 years before he passed away. They made plans for Debbie to sell everything and move to Kenya after Don passed. He died in December 2022. Debbie moved to Kenya March 2023.
Our vision is to build Family Impact Centers in as many remote villages as possible to provide support for
families as they raise their children. The Impact Center’s goal is to provide vocational training for single mothers as well as other members of the community. The communities will be chosen based on the poverty level of the community and the lack of other NGO support. As an organization, we will address the many challenges facing each community and with experienced advisors, will address them as wisely as possible. By improving life in a community, we improve the lives of the individual families. By empowering parents, we improve the lives of the children. By improving the lives of the children, we improve the future of Africa and the World.
